MUMS’ AND DADS’ COFFEE BREAK

In 2013 we asked some of the mums and dads whose children go to Moggerhanger Lower School whether they would like an hour to themselves regularly.  The response was very positive, so in September 2013 we offered a taster meeting between 9.00 and 10.00. This proved very popular and extended well beyond 10.00, so we set up a weekly event in the Moggerhanger Meeting Place at the back of St. John’s Church in Blunham Road.

The group, which is now well established with a small group of mainly mums, is open to all parents and grandparents whose children go to the school, and of course children of pre-school age are welcome also (with a parent);  there is a box of toys in the church.  Tea and coffee, with biscuits, are available @ 50p/cup.  The group meets every Wednesday during term-time, except during half-term week. It starts at 9.00 am and can go on till the shop closes at 12.00.

We started the new term on 3 September and welcomed some new faces.  These sessions will continue through October until half term week (29 October) when there will be no meeting.  We open from 9 – 10 am and Mums & Dads and any pre-school children are invited to come for a chat over coffee.  The shop does not close until noon, so there is no rush to leave at 10!

Autumn Term 2015

The group has been meeting again, from 9.00 - 10.00 or later in the church, since the start of the autumn term on 7th September.  This month, October, it will meet on 7th, 14th and 21st, then 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th November and 2nd, 9th and 16th December.  Come and have a bit of ‘down time’ before you get into your busy day.
