MOGGERHANGER UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

Football on our playing field has been a regular event for many years.  However, after our previous visiting teams finally went their own way a season or so ago, our field became only a sports field in name.  In 2013 the Parish Council welcomed the reforming of Moggerhanger United Football Club.  It had been some ten years since a team had adopted the village name.

Friday 2nd August saw the inaugural friendly match between our team and the visiting Gamlingay United Football Club.  The kick- off was at 6:30 p.m. and the final score was 3-1 to Gamlingay. Some forty of so visiting public came to watch.  After the match, teams were welcomed to The Guinea for food and social.

In late 2014 the team decided to play elsewhere and ceased to use Moggerhanger as its home pitch.
