MOGGERHANGER LOWER SCHOOL

Moggerhanger Lower School is a vital part of our community. Often it is the first school our children attend and sets the tone for the rest of their education. It is now in the hands of Head Teacher Sarah Evans who continues the high standards we have all come to respect.

If you are interested in joining our school we take children in the Nursery from the age of 3 and in the main school up to year 4. Please call the office on 01767 640270 if you would like further information or to visit the school or alternatively visit our website at:

The PTA reformed in October 2013 to raise much needed funds to buy extra items which benefit the children at the school and to provide fun events for the children and their families.

“A little school with big ideas”.

After a long hot summer break the children of Moggerhanger Lower School have returned to school eager to work and have fun. In our foundation unit Robin Nursery class are having lots of fun playing with water, sand, dressing up and generally playing with anything they can find including all of the outside play equipment. Robins our reception class are busy learning about themselves and discovering new things. Woodpecker class yrs 1 & 2 are involved in a topic about toys old & new and will be visiting Bedford Museum this month. They are learning about the difference between the toys they have now and the old toys that will be at the museum. Owl class are learning about Vikings, where they came from, their clothes and they are making shields and learning how they were carried. These will be used in a re-enactment which will take place near half term.

Here are a few photos, kindly supplied by Sarah, of the children enjoying themselves in the January 2013 snow.
