MUSIC HALL

by

The Friends of  St John’s Church

Music Hall came to Moggerhanger on Saturday 15 November 2014 when troubadours, players and artists delighted an audience of 84 people with a selection of sketches, monologues, and songs at the Village Hall.

The entertainment was arranged by Chris Bashford who invited members of the Kingfisher Players to perform, together with various residents from Chalton and Moggerhanger and what a talented crew they proved to be.

The evening began with a wonderful hot supper of sausage and mash with peas and beans, followed by jam roly-poly or apple crumble with custard. The bar was open for refreshments and there was also a quiz with an Edwardian theme and a well-supported raffle. To round off the evening, the whole audience joined in a good singalong with lots of favourite songs.

A thoroughly enjoyable event organised by the Friends of St John's Church which succeeded in raising a magnificent £875. This will be used for essential repairs and maintenance to our church building.

We heartily thank everyone who helped us to make it a night to remember.
